Senior Reporting Analyst
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple legal entities, with a focus on consolidation, close processes, and reporting execution. 
What will you do?
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for all affiliated companies.
Prepare working papers, reconciliations, journal entries, consolidation and reporting schedules.
Assist in ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results across all legal entities.
Prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements, statutory filings, and Board level reporting packages.
Maintain close calendars, templates, and standardized reporting processes.
Management Reporting & Performance Insights

Assists in preparation of monthly management reporting dashboards including commentary focused on financial statement results.
Support financial variance commentary related to accounting movements (e.g. timing differences, accruals, reclassifications).
Ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy of results across entity-level and consolidated reporting views.
Multi Entity Consolidations & Group Reporting

Prepare consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations, and multi-entity reconciliations.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and investigate variances.
Support group reporting requirements under IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) frameworks.
Ensure consistency in reporting across entities, products, and accounting frameworks.
Audit, Compliance & Internal Countrols

Prepare audit working papers, documentation, supporting analyses, and responses to audit queries.
Assist in responding to audit requests and queries.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and strengthen financial governance processes.
Cross Functional Coordination

Serve as key point of contact for internal and external auditors on IFRS 17 matters.
Collaborate with finance, operations, and other internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting inputs.
Identify and resolve discrepancies between operational and financial data.
Support information gathering across teams for reporting and close processes.
Process Improvement & Automation

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes and templates.
Support system enhancements and data quality initiatives tied to reporting, including alignment across IFRS, HGB, and Canadian GAAP requirements.
About You:

University degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of experience in financial reporting or consolidation in finance roles.
CPA (or equivalent international accounting) designation or progress towards CPA is preferred.
Strong experience in multi-entity consolidation with German GAAP (HGB) is considered a strong asset
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools is required.
Proficiency in SAP is considered a strong asset.
Aptitude for figures, strong analytical and investigative skills.

Senior Manager, IFRS & Insurance Accounting
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Manager, IFRS & Insurance Accounting is responsible for the technical application, interpretation, ongoing compliance with IFRS, with a key focus on IFRS 17 insurance accounting. This role serves as the technical accounting lead supporting the Controller, providing guidance on complex and judgmental accounting matters and ensuring consistent application of IFRS standards within the established finance governance framework. 
What will you do?
IFRS Technical Accounting & Compliance

Lead the interpretation and application of IFRS standards across the organization, providing guidance on complex, technical, and judgmental accounting matters.
Serve as the technical accounting lead within the finance function, supporting the Controller in evaluating and determining appropriate accounting treatments.
Develop, maintain, and recommend accounting policies, technical position papers, and interpretations for approval within the finance governance framework.
Monitor emerging accounting developments and industry practices and assess their impact on financial reporting.
IFRS 17 Insurance Accounting

Develop, maintain, and recommend IFRS 17 accounting policies, methodologies, and position papers.
Apply IFRS 17 measurement models (e.g., GMM, PAA), including contract boundary assessments, coverage units, and discounting methodologies.
Oversee the recognition and measurement of insurance revenue, insurance service expenses, and insurance finance income or expenses.
Management Reporting & Performance Insights

Prepare monthly management reporting dashboards including commentary focused on financial statement results.

Contractual Service Margin (CSM) & Risk Adjustment

Oversee the calculation, analysis, and roll‑forward of the Contractual Service Margin (CSM).
Lead the review and challenge the risk adjustment methodologies and movements in collaboration with actuarial team.
Perform analytical review of CSM drivers, assumption changes, experience variances, and new business impacts.
Ensure consistency between actuarial outputs and accounting treatment under IFRS 17.
Actuarial & Data Integration

Lead coordination with actuarial team to validate inputs, assumptions, and outputs used in IFRS 17 and other accounting areas.
Translate actuarial and operational data into accounting entries, reconciliations, and technical analysis.
Oversee and enhance data flows between actuarial models, sub-ledgers, and the general ledger.
Drive resolution of data issues, reconciliation differences, and system-related discrepancies.
Financial Close & Disclosures

Lead the preparation and review of complex accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of monthly and quarterly close.
Provide technical accounting oversight and support in the preparation of IFRS financial statements and disclosures in coordination with the Senior Reporting Analyst.
Perform and oversee the quarterly transition from IFRS to HGB using Group‑approved, tool‑based processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Lead collaboration with Group Finance to identify, assess, and explain differences between IFRS and HGB, including impacts from IFRS 17 and broader IFRS topics.
Prepare technical analysis and explanations for Group, Supervisory Board, and external audit requests.
Ensure all technical accounting working papers are complete, well-documented, and audit‑ready
Compliance & Governance

Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors on technical accounting matters.
Lead preparation of technical accounting memos, position papers, and audit responses.
Support the design and operation of internal controls over accounting processes, estimates, and data flows.
Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory expectations.
Process Improvement & Automation

Drive improvements in accounting processes, controls, and data quality across the finance function.
Lead accounting-related system enhancements, including IFRS 17 and financial reporting tools.
Develop standardized templates, documentation, and processes to enhance scalability and operational efficiency.

About You:

University degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA (or equivalent international accounting) designation required.
+7 years of experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or insurance finance
Strong expertise in IFRS, with the ability to interpret and apply complex and judgmental accounting standards across multiple areas.
Experience with IFRS 17 implementation or ongoing application required.
Deep knowledge of IFRS 17 and insurance accounting concepts.
Experience working with actuarial models, financial systems, and data-intensive environments

Bilingual Customer Service Representative
As part of our strategy to expand and strengthen our presence across Canada, we are looking for a Bilingual Customer Service Representative in Toronto. 
Reporting to the Contact Centre Manager, the Bilingual Customer Service Representative will serve as the first point of contact for customers. This role will handle inbound and outbound calls related to policy inquiries and information, claims assistance, and general support. This role will not be handling sales. This role is for a current vacancy.
Please note due to the nature of the position this role will need to be onsite five days a week for the initial mandatory three-week paid training and three-month probation period, with the possibility of a transition to a hybrid schedule afterwards.
Schedule: Applicants must be available Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST, and will be offered the following shift options: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM and 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Director of Broker Partnerships
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Broker Partnerships will be responsible for growing new business opportunities in the legal expense insurance market in Canada while managing existing relationships with clients, brokers, and partners.
What will you do?

Support the sales team in prospecting, identifying and building profitable legal insurance business within the broker distribution channel, and ensuring exceptional ongoing care for the existing portfolio.

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations & Business Management, the Project Manager will lead and deliver cross-functional projects across areas such as underwriting, finance, claims, sales, compliance, and digital transformation. What will you do?

Manage the full project lifecycle for company initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
Partner with stakeholders across underwriting, finance, claims, corporate, actuarial, sales, and compliance teams to define project scope and objectives
Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities across business functions

Solid understanding of P&C insurance operations, including underwriting, claims, finance, and distribution channels
Experience working with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid)

Claims Examiner
Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Claims Examiner will be responsible to support our efforts as we expand and strengthen our presence across Canada in the legal expense insurance market. This role is for a current vacancy.
 What will you do?

Review and assess new and potential claims to determine coverage under the applicable insurance contract and take appropriate action.
Participate hands-on in the resolution of simple to moderate claims and coverage issues
Deliver training on products, risk management presentations and advice to lawyers and firms
Develop and maintain effective relationships with external lawyers
Assist with various accounting functions as assigned
Assist in the development, implementation and administration of claims management policies, procedures, and systems
Determine and report the liability and damages exposure of the insured in respect of a claim.
Coordinate and manage claim files including liaison with insureds, brokers, external counsel and internal clients.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a claims adjuster. 
Ability to evaluate and assist in the successful resolution of litigation
Comprehensive understanding of legal fees and billing assessment
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Senior Actuarial Analyst
Reporting to the Vice President and Appointed Actuary, the Senior Actuarial Analyst will play a significant role in supporting the company’s actuarial reserving and financial reporting activities. The role is responsible for performing and enhancing reserving analyses contributing to regulatory and financial reporting processes and supporting actuarial governance within a growing P&C environment. 
Working closely with cross functional stakeholders, the successful candidate will help strengthen reserving processes, analytical capabilities, and actuarial tools while contributing to the ongoing development of the company’s actuarial function. This role is for a current vacancy.
What will you do?
Reserving & Financial Reporting

Contribute to the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reserve estimates for insurance liabilities, including analysis, validation, and documentation of reserving results.
Perform reserving analyses using standard actuarial methods, including Chain Ladder, Bornhuetter‑Ferguson and loss ratio techniques, while assessing trends, assumptions, and emerging experience.
Support preparation of actuarial analyses and inputs for financial statements, management reporting, and regulatory filings, and internal governance processes.
Participate in reserve reviews and contribute to the analyses and communication of reserve movements, trends, and key drivers to stakeholders.
Support Financial Condition Testing (FCT) activities, including model inputs and result interpretation of results
Data Analysis & Modeling

Collect, clean, validate, analyse, and interpret claims, exposure and financial data used in reserving and actuarial analyses.
Maintain, enhance and document reserving and FCT models, tools and analytical workflows using Excel, R, Python, SQL, or actuarial technologies as appropriate.
Perform diagnostic reviews, trend analysis, sensitivity testing and data quality assessments to support reserve adequacy and actuarial insight generation.
Contribute to the improvement, automation, and standardisation of actuarial processes, data controls and reserving workflows to support operational scalability and governance.
Support the development of efficient and reliable actuarial reporting and analytical capabilities within a growing insurance environment.
Business Support & Collaboration

Work closely with claims, underwriting, finance, risk and other business stakeholders to understand operational and business drivers impacting reserve performance and actuarial analyses.
Prepare clear and well-structured actuarial reports, visualisations, and presentations to communicate reserving results, trends, assumptions, and key insights to internal stakeholders.
Contribute to actuarial investigations and ad hoc analyses, including portfolio reviews, assumption studies, reserve uncertainty assessments, and emerging experience analyses.
Support cross-functional discussions related to reserve performance, financial results, and actuarial considerations within the broader business and regulatory context.
Collaborate closely with actuarial teams at Head Office to review, understand, and critically assess reserving methodologies, assumptions, and analytical approaches, while contributing to the ongoing enhancement and adaptation of actuarial analyses within the Canadian business context.
Support the development of transparent and well-documented actuarial processes, methodologies, and data flows between the Canadian entity and Head Office, including contributions to the establishment of automated data exchange and reporting interfaces.
About You:.

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or a related quantitative field
Progress toward ACAS or FCAS designation
Minimum of three years of full-time actuarial experience within P&C insurance industry, including reserving and financial reporting exposure.
Strong understanding of P&C reserving principles, actuarial methodologies, and loss development concepts.
Familiarity with regulatory and financial reporting frameworks relevant to reserving, including OSFI requirements and IFRS 17 considerations where applicable.
Experience supporting actuarial reporting, governance, or regulatory processes within a P&C insurance environment.
Strong analytical and technical capabilities, including advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with tools such as R, Python, SQL or VBA.
Experience with actuarial process improvement, automation, or data integration initiatives is considered an asset.
Strong problem-solving, communication, time-management skills and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within a dynamic and evolving business environment.
