Account Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships - Toronto, Ontario

Under the guidance of the Vice President Sales, Corporate Partnerships and in conjunction with the Senior Account Manager, the Account Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and expanding business with Corporate Partners (CP).

What will you do?

Account support

  • Becoming a trusted advisor for the Corporate Partners
  • Prompt and clear communications with external partners and internally with ARAG stakeholders
  • Monitoring, responding to and resolving any questions, concerns or complaints regarding service
  • Professional management of queries, and other communications
  • Coordinating the internal and external review schedule with internal resources e.g. Underwriting and claims
  • Delivery of accredited training on ARAG products to Insurer partner staff and supporting brokers
  • Education and support of LEI specialists / dedicated trainers within Insurer Partners
  • Attendance at industry events
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with all internal stakeholders
  • Working with the Broker Channel Coordinator to plan and prepare for annual insurance conventions
  • Working closely with the Marketing team on awareness and promotion campaigns for Corporate Partners Creation of review and renewal meeting minutes and action points from partner quarterly review meetings

Retention & Renewal

  • Assist the Senior Account Manager in executing a contact strategy to ensure retention of all existing accounts and expansion of existing business with corporate partners
  • Coordinate and renew all current corporate partner accounts
  • Management of ARAG review schedule with Insurer Partners at VP & CEO level
  • Inclusion and coordination of internal ARAG stakeholders in review & renewal meetings as required
  • Responsibility for creation and distribution of monthly reporting to partners

Sales and Growth

  • Proactively promote awareness of legal protection products
  • Provide regular and accurate reporting and updates to maintain the CP sales funnel

About You: 

  • College diploma or university degree or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Sales or Customer Service with a good understanding of sales principles and techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 
  • Proactive approach to developing and maintaining relationships with clients and colleagues. 
  • Comfortable creating a professional rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • High degree of drive and ability to take initiative to get the required work done and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Customer Relationship Software tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office (including strong Excel skills).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to exercise judgment on matters requiring urgent attention.
  • Level I General Insurance License a strong asset or expectation of the successful candidate to obtain the license within first 6 months of employment
